Jamie O’Hara has entered the Celebrity Big Brother house in a bid to recoup some of the cash he lost in his expensive divorce from glamour model Danielle Lloyd.
The footballer, 30, claimed last year that he pays out £15,000 a month to his ex, 33, who lives with their three young sons Archie, Harry and George.
‘I lost a few quid. This hopefully gives me an opportunity to build a future for me and my kids.’
In a final parting shot at Danielle, Jamie said he’s looking for a woman ‘that doesn’t take all your money.’
Nicola – who raises sons Striker and Rocky with her husband Tom Williams – seemed offended when Danielle posted several snaps of her new pup on Instagram, announcing his all too familiar moniker.
‘Great name might name my new addition Archie’, she shared, referring to one of mum-of-three Danielle’s kids’ names.
Despite Danielle not responding, the comment seems to have irked her brother Matty, who rushed to his sister’s defence – referring to Nicola as a ‘f***ing mess’
Danielle and Jamie began dating in April 2009 and became engaged just eight months later.
The couple went on to have three sons together, Archie, six, Harry, five, and George, two, and tied the knot in 2012.
However, in July 2014 it was alleged that Jamie had cheated on his wife and just three months later, Danielle filed for divorce.
Jamie, who is currently without a club after Gillingham didn’t renew his contract, joked in his CBB introductory video: ‘I’m best known for my years at Tottenham and being married to Danielle Lloyd…didn’t go too well that one.’
However, he immediately became more serious, saying: ‘I got offered £25k a week at 21 years of age. You kind of get carried away.
‘I went through a stage of three or four years where I was stupid, spending crazy amounts of money, buying stupid cars, houses.
‘I brought my ex-wife a white Bentley with diamond badges for her wedding present, yes that was an expensive day that was.’
The midfielder also believes that everyone has the wrong perception of him before claiming that he is a joker and that he doesn’t want to row with anyone because ‘I don’t really take any s**t.’
And when asked how he feels about going into the house by Emma Willis, O’Hara responds: ‘I’m alright to be fair, this is easy…this is like playing for my local team.’
Seeing as O’Hara has experienced life at plenty of different clubs and used to be married to glamour model Danielle, he may have plenty of gossip to dish out.
